Our story
I'm Maria-Elisa, a mother and founder of Nurture by Mama. After giving birth, I discovered that many of the pain and discomfort I took for granted were actually simple to resolve. My research showed that many of these products have been used in other countries for years to help with postpartum recovery, but they were almost entirely absent in the Netherlands.
What started as a personal frustration grew into a mission. I began conducting extensive research: I read studies, looked at birth stories online, and spoke with maternity nurses. With each story I heard, it became clearer: many mothers struggle silently with the same issues. But simple, effective solutions exist—they just need to be made accessible.
